Our mission is to promote the restoration, preservation, and enjoyment of the Mustang and other collectible Ford Motor Company vehicles, and to bring together Mustang and Ford enthusiasts to share in the enjoyment of their FoMoCo vehicles.
The North Texas Mustang Club was formed in early 1982 by a small group of Ford Mustang enthusiasts. From our humble beginnings, membership has grown steadily, and we are now one of the largest Mustang clubs in North America, with over 250 members. While the early emphasis was on the "first generation" Mustangs built from 1964 through 1973, today we welcome fans of all Mustangs, Fords, and Ford-powered vehicles to join the Club, regardless of whether or not they own such a vehicle.
NTMC is a non-profit corporation. Our operating funds come from membership dues, donations, newsletter advertising, and other fund- raising activities. Our membership dues are $32 per year, which includes the member's immediate family. Dues are pro-rated quarterly for new members just joining.
The Club works throughout the year with many charity organizations in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. At Thanksgiving, we assemble and distribute food baskets to needy Metroplex families. At Christmas time, we work with the Toys for Tots program, collecting toys and clothing for needy families. These activities are just a part of our charitable and community service work. The Club and its members sponsor and participate in many activities throughout the year, including indoor and outdoor car shows, road rallies, picnics, caravans, parades, cruise nights, and social events. Club-sponsored activities are always conducted in a fun, family-oriented way.
Our big event each year is the Annual Yellow Rose Classic / Southwest All-Ford Nationals (aka Yellow Rose) indoor car show, held each year at Arlington Expo Center, Arlington TX. We hold a family picnic/car show each Spring and Fall, and we host an annual weekend caravan each spring to some interesting and historic destination in Texas.
We maintain close ties with the North Texas Ford Dealers Association, Ford Motor Company, Lone Star Cougars, Shelby Cobra Association of Texas, and other vehicle clubs and organizations around Texas and North America. NTMC publishes a monthly newsletter, "The Pony Corral", which is mailed or Emailed to our members, other vehicle clubs around the country, and Ford Motor Company. The newsletter features Club news, car show reports, tech articles for early and late-model Mustangs, Mustang and Ford news items, a coming-events calendar, and an advertising section.
Members may place automotive-related "For Sale" and "Wanted" ads in the newsletter free of charge. Non-members and commercial vendors of automotive parts and services may purchase advertising space at very reasonable rates.
NTMC members receive a membership card which entitles them to price discounts on in-stock parts and accessories from many North Texas Ford dealers. In some cases, the discount also applies to Ford Motorsport parts, accessories, and apparel.
We invite you to join The North Texas Mustang Club, and share your enthusiasm for the legendary Ford Mustang.
